I'm Emma and I'm a Northern gal working across a range of creative mediums currently based in Nottingham. I have experience in devising theatre, making films and acting both on stage and screen.
I graduated from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in 2018. I have since made both collaborative work with other artists and worked on my own personal projects, devising, directing, acting and film making with a passion for comedy.
I was a member of the Nottingham Playhouse Homegrown programme for 3 years and won the Nottingham Young Creatives Award for Theatre in 2021.
In 2022 I turned to writing and devising my own show 'Yeah, No, Fine.' with writer and performer Grace Carter. It's debut performances at the Nottingham Playhouse sold out in July 2023 before we developed it further and had a sell-out run at Broadway Cinema in August 2024.
In the same year I was a New Associate at New Perspectives theatre and worked on their Open Pitch project, performing and developing new writing.
Day-to-day I am the Digital Content Creator for Broadway Cinema. From ideation and planning through to creative execution, I use my film-making, acting and comedy experience to create engaging, entertaining, social-first content. Since joining the team in 2022, our Instagram audience has grown by 79%. Freelance, I have also created content for the likes of the BFI, Near Now, Glimmer Films, Core Performing Arts, Simply Thrilled and collaborated with Mob Kitchen.
I am looking for creative opportunities in theatre, film and content creation for a chance to create and perform collaboratively.
