Since June 2022 Emma has been the Content Creator and Social Media Assistant for Broadway Cinema, an independent cinema based in the heart of Hockley, Nottingham's creative quarter.
During her time at Broadway Emma has built a reputation within the building and around Nottingham for her original and creative TikTok and Instagram reels used to advertise films, room hire, special events, food and drink, amongst other things. With some videos reaching 31.5K views and social media now recognised as an important form of marketing, Emma's creativity encourages audiences young and old to visit Broadway at a time when cinema is struggling.
From initial idea to performing, directing and editing - each video is almost all of Emma's handiwork. Since starting this work she has been recruited by other businesses in the local area and recognised for what she does, with other cinemas attempting to do something similar. In December 2024 she spoke to the Independent Cinema Office who interviewed her about her work - The 'New' Social Media, Part Two: TikTok - Independent Cinema Office
